Cascade Chorus - Oregon spring football game

On Saturday, May 1, the Cascade Chorus had the tremendous opportunity to sing the Armed Forces Medley at half-time of the University of Oregon spring football game. The game included a time to honor area veterans. It was during half-time that the Chorus honored each branch of the armed forces by singing the Armed Forces Medley. As each branch song was sung, the flag of that respective branch was shown on the `big screen.` Thanks to Rich Watkins for getting this gig for the Chorus!!
Division IV Contest - March 12,13

The Division IV Contest was held in Salem. Social Insecurity and It`s About Time competed in the quartet contest on Friday night and placed 2nd and 11th, respectively. This was the very first contest for It`s About Time. They had a great time and the audience enjoyed their performance.
On Saturday, the pirate ship Salty Dog once again set sail and came back with a 2nd place finish and a better score from last year. Again, the audience really enjoyed the performance. Because the Chorus finished 2nd, they were able to perform on the Show of Champions that evening. Social Insecurity was on stage just before the Chorus and were they shocked to be kidnapped (and held for ransom) at the end of their performance.
Now, on to District!!!
